The incumbent will be responsible for collecting, researching, investigating and evaluating user requirements to deliver an outstanding user experience by providing an exceptional and intuitive application design. The UX (user experience) designer will measure and optimise applications (usually web based) to improve ease of use (usability) and create the best user experience by exploring many different approaches to solve end-users’ problems. The success of this individual will result in Digital Product efficiencies across experience, product innovation and conversions resulting in significant commercial value.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand.
• Understand exactly how business users interact with the system, and design and implement workflows in such a way that it will improve system productivity and ultimately how well it “works” for the users.
• Producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
• Designing UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets.
• Testing UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages.
• Collaborating with the marketing team, and internal and external designers to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user.
• Facilitate usability testing and A/B testing and evaluate user feedback to further improve the concept or existing products UX and UI features.
• Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyze and predict user behavior.
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).
• Adhering to style standards on typography and graphic design.
• Analyze competitors and customers.

Required Experience:

• 3 years of experience as an UI/ UX Designer or similar role
• UI design portfolio
• Bachelor’s degree/ diploma or equivalent in relevant field
• Excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions
• Strong team player who can collaborate effectively with different stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and have a keen eye for aesthetics
• Critical thinker, problem solver and customer-centered
• Knowledge of Adobe range of products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver
• Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. AdobeXD, Figma or InVision, etc.)
• 5 years of experience with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript skills are a plus
• Some knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction.
