Unit Manager - Casualty Unit

SUMMARY:
A Unit Manager vacancy has become available at Level 2 Emergency/Trauma Unit of a hospital situated in Pietermaritzburg area

POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate will ensure the department conforms to all medico-legal aspects and at all times efficiently managed and staffed. Ability to maintain excellent standards and service levels.

To be considered for this position, the following work experience is required:

• 5 years current nursing experience within Emergency units
• Applicants must have previous supervisory/management experience within a private hospital environment

Education Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Nursing Science with Midwifery

SANC registered

Post basic Diploma in Emergency / Trauma OR Critical Care (required)

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Strong leadership skills

Customer service focused

Ability to work as part of a team and assist where needed

Computer proficient in Microsoft Office suite
