SUMMARY:
Unit Manager – Neonatal ICU

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain and improve standards in this NICU
Gain optimal staff usage and ensure that sufficient staff is on duty at all times in the NICU
Ensuring a cost effective nursing operation
Staff management and training
Management of stock and equipment
Management of patient care and client services
Management of the nursing budget in the NICU
Ensure effective Doctor, staff and patient relationships
Comply with company policies, procedures and internal controls
Designing and implementation of marketing strategies for the Unit

Requirements of Position:

Be registered with The South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
Diploma in Neonatal Nursing preferable but not essential
Previous Nursing experience in a NICU environment is essential
Qualification in Nursing Administration would be advantageous
Strong Leadership and interpersonal skills
