Unit Manager â€“ Casualty Position for a Private Hospital

POSITION INFO:

Role Summary

The Unit manager will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that Quality nursing care ns service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi–disciplinary team.

In accordance, the unit manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his/ her unit.

Key Work Output and Accountabilities:

Ensure that your unit is providing safe, cost effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of the hospital and evidence-based practice.
Evaluate the patient’s journey via patient experience and stakeholder contribution.
Evaluate nd monitor nursing quality indictors and clinical outcomes.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care.
Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees.
Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standards precautions are adhered to.
Implement group quality initiatives.
Liaise with public liability with regard to all incidents of potential risk to the business

Inherent Requirements:

Should be in possession of a relevant qualification (B Cur Degree/ or relevant management qualification)
Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse & must be Trauma Trained.
Compliance with the SANC Code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations.
A & E Unit Manager Experience.
Compulsory BLS Certification.
Advanced Computer Literacy.
