Unit Manager Healthcare - Cape Town

Salary: R35-40k Basic Per Month

Purpose of Position:

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Unit Manager for a private healthcare facility. Applicants should preferably be a Clinical Technologist with experience as detailed below. We will also consider candidates who are a senior level Registered Nurse with renal experience and Nephrology – non-negotiable) as experience as a Unit Manager. This position will be reporting to the Regional Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric; Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse or with HPCSA as a Graduate Clinical Technologist
• Previous Management Experience Advantageous
• Nephrology Course Essential
• BHSc Clinical Technology (Nephrology)
• MS package (Essential)
• Willing to work flexible hours if necessary
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport essential
  • Renal experience (Essential) – patient care is top priority, same methodology with all nurses on site

Duties:

• Ensure existing and new staff are trained regarding Patient Control Sheet System
• Monthly reports must be drawn up and sent to the Regional Manager
• Ensure staff adhere to the Time and Attendance system
• Draw up and ensure that the Regional Manager has been supplied with a copy of the draft roster monthly
• Advise staff of current and revised Company Policies and Procedures
• Arrange with HR Manager for Unit staff to attend training courses and or congresses
• Recruitment of new staff
• Supervise and evaluate the quality of the patient care provided
• Plan and conduct performance appraisals twice yearly and provide Head Office with copies
• Ensure accurate monitoring and recording of stock in accordance with Head Office Procedures
• Ordering of stock
• Strict adherence to capturing datawise information
• Maintenance of kidney wise program
• Ensure strict adherence to all company Policies
