SUMMARY:
Our renowned client in the insurance industry is seeking a Long-Term Underwriting consultant to be based in Sandton

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:
  • Must have Grade 12 
  • Must be MS Office Literate 
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a life insurance medical underwriter
  • Experience in Individual life insurance products such as  Life cover, Permanent Disability cover, Temp Income Cover, and Critical Illness 
  • Sound Business and Operational knowledge of Insurance Industry administrative processes 
  • Good knowledge of the business administration platforms 
  • Familiar with Compliance Processes and Procedures in the Insurance Industry 
  • Experience in underwriting temporary (income protector) and permanent disability, critical illness as well with signing authority (Essential)  
  • Decline excessive risks or impose additional conditions or increase premiums for high risk
