JOB DESCRIPTION:

A fantastic opportunity for a UI Designer to eventually move into a UI Lead role has become available with a collaborative and innovative agency based in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities

Identify, log, manage and ensure proper and on time delivery of digital products requested by SA Marketing BU, according to the processes and SLAs agreed with the requestors
The UI Designer will work closely with the user experience team (UX) and other design specialists
The UI designer will need to have a good understanding of the platforms you are worked with
Gathering and evaluating the user requirements based on the UX presented to the brands and in collaboration with the product managers and brands
The UI Designer will be responsible for illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
Design user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
Design and implement desktop and mobile designs clearly following navigable prototype provided by UX designer
Work closely with UX designer and external agencies to ensure that mock-ups make sense according to the architecture designed wireframe and ensure the design fulfils all the required standards
Ensure UI designed comply with top quality standards at any stage prior to the product deliver and ensure QA adjustments templates are properly driven within UX control area
Drive and promote research and creative sessions in order to ensure digital products aim with enhanced precision both brands and consumers
Plan, execution and analysis of sessions with enhancement opportunities and clear next steps
Continuous improvement process in order to enhance product quality
Investigate and perform end user research in order to validate that briefings from brands and creative agencies are properly targeted
Display proactive behaviour in order to look after new/innovative ways to enhance existing digital products

Requirements

Matric
Higher Certificate/Diploma) or relevant tertiary qualifications / certifications in visual design, Computer Science or relevant field
Understanding of UX, SEO and familiar with coding software like HTML and CSS
Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe creative suite
5+ years’ proven work experience as UI designer preferably within the FMCG market
Portfolio of design and or case studies on digital projects worked on
Keen understanding user journeys and strategic display of solutions to digital products
