POSITION INFO:
Qualification

• Matric
• Turner (does not need to be trade tested, but must have extensive experience)

• Needs experience in 3meter and 4 meter horizontal lathe.
• Conventional Horizontal Lathe experience

• Manufacture, construct, align, assemble and fit components for machinery.
• Measure, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Interpret diagrams, drawings, specifications and plans to determine suitable material and sequence of operations.
• Checking finished parts to ensure compliance with drawings.
• Polishing finished components.
• Repair or replace faulty components or equipment and modification.
• Adjust settings on machines when necessary.
• Maintain records of maintenance work conducted.
• Assist Fitters with maintenance and repairs of machines.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
