POSITION INFO:
Area of Specialization:
•Provide engineering / technical support to maintenance and projects teams working on turbo-gen sets,
•Compile technical reports at the end of each major refurbishment project that document key ‘as-is’ technical state of plant, notable deviations from recommended conditions and lessons learnt.
• Compile lessons learnt reports from or any other project on a case-by-case basis clearly indicating deviations notes and out-of-spec measurement tolerance as observed.
•Provide input and guidance to clients’ engineers during project scoping and planning,
•Provide technical assistance to Clients in identifying opportunities to optimize their turbine outage program, reduce planned turbine generator outage durations, reduce turbine generator maintenance costs, increase turbine operating reliability, and reduce turbine generator outage risks.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Mechanical Engineering qualification,
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing steam turbine maintenance and overhauls during outages / shutdowns,
- Knowledge of power plant steam turbine operation, maintenance, and outages,
- Must have proven project management skills,
- Working knowledge of industry standards/codes,
- Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project,
- Able to understand schedules in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Projects.
- Self-motivated, results-driven team player.
Experience:
• 3 Years Engineering/Project Management/Maintenance problem solving and / or technical management experience
• At least 2 Years’ experience in Contract Management obtained during the Project Execution,
• Knowledge and experience of NDT techniques, root-cause analysis, and use of computer simulations in engineering problem solving.
