POSITION INFO:
DUTIES

Revenue Maximization: Section 86 (2), (3) and (4)

• Utilize management information systems to identify revenue maximization opportunities.
• Track and monitor trust interest performance for each practice in the region.
• Analyze and review monthly trust interest receipts and bank charges.
• Assist practitioners with non-compliance issues related to section 86(2) and section 86(4).
• Make recommendations to improve the trust interest value chain.
• Maintain a database of value generated from interventions.
• Remedy instances of non-compliance with preferential banking products.
• Articulate and promote benefits of trust interest maximization to practitioners.
• Market client activities to the legal profession.
• Build sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Respond to trust account queries promptly.

• Facilitate and monitor the migration of accounts to and from the AMTS environment.
• Increase practitioner participation in the AMTS environment.
• Maintain a query tracking register for AMTS interventions.
• Consolidate and monitor the number of accounts, average balances, gross interest, and bank charges, reporting on trends

• Assist practitioners with queries of non-compliance with section 87(4).
• Track the receipts of unclaimed trust monies.

• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Build partnerships with legal practitioners, regional banks, LPC Provincial Councils, and other stakeholders.
• Engage with top trust interest revenue contributors in the region.
• Provide a link between auditors and legal practitioners, resolving issues from stakeholder engagements.
• Respond to queries related to trust accounts and maintain query tracking registers.
• Demonstrate value created through TIPO interventions.

• Participate in improving the trust interest value chain.
• Identify and mitigate emerging risks in the trust interest environment.
• Identify trends from the field of work.
• Provide input to Joint Legal Practitioners and Accountants Committee and established task groups.
• Demonstrate value created through interventions in the trust interest value chain.
• Contribute to Investment Executive key project reporting

• A commercial or legal-related degree is essential.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in business development in the financial and/or legal industries.
• In-depth knowledge of banking products used in the legal practitioners’ environment.
