SUMMARY:

An established manufacturer and distributor of agricultural chemicals requires the above to plan, execute, analyse and report on trials on mostly row and vegetable crops to achieve registrations for their plant nutrition and crop protection products.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a tertiary qualification in Agriculture
• Previous trial experience is essential
• Must be willing to work outside and manage various trials
• Good communication and writing skills as well as attention to detail are required

  
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Setting research aims and objectives according to company protocol.
• Liaising with clients, research personnel and technical development staff.
• Developing project plans and budgets.
• Collecting, recording, analysing and interpreting data.
• Observing field conditions.
• Following strict test guidelines.
• Assessing the prevalence of diseases and/or pests.
• Communicating unfavourable results from tests, including trials failures.
• Writing technical publications and reports.
• Keeping up to date with current developments.
• Attending trade shows and demonstrations.
• Using specialist computer applications for recording and analysing data.
• Ensuring that all operations under direct control comply with Health, Safety & Environment policies and guidelines as well as any other statutory policies.

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
