Trial Officer - Vegetable

SUMMARY:

A global horticultural seed company is seeking a young, energetic and suitably qualified candidate to plan, implement and evaluate agricultural trials, in support of Technical Specialist and customers.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a tertiary Agricultural qualification such as Plant Production/Plant Sciences/Plant Breeding/Plant Pathology or similar
• Previous work experience on a farm is important
• Must be able to work with data accurately and in Excel
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally are essential

• Supporting a team of Vegetables Specialists by planning, implementing and evaluating trials throughout South Africa.
• Maintaining an accurate database of all trial data.
• Placing product orders per trial specification.
• Performing evaluations per trial specification.
• Conducting research and data analysis.
• Administering ARM data entries.
• Writing and submitting reports.
• Liaising with farmers.
