SUMMARY:
A well-known Manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Treasury Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be in a similar role and ready for a new challenge within a multinational organisation.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Education:
  • Relevant Finance Degree
Skills/Experience required:
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Treasury Accountant
  • Experience on Treasury Management System
  • SAP experience – preferred
  • Experience on all banking platforms

Job Description:
  • Acceptance and reporting of payments received
  • General banking
  • SARB Reporting
  • Advising on Exchange Control Compliance and Regulations
  • Internal Audit on Import and Export Documentation to determine the effectiveness of compliance procedures/policies implemented by Group Office
  • Implementing and maintaining compliance so that trade across borders can continue.
  • Update Cashbook and reconcile bank accounts daily
  • Maintain fixed asset register on a monthly basis and verify assets on a rotational basis
  • Depreciation and wear and tear calculation
  • Tracking Capex spend and capitalising assets on completion
  • Preparation of monthly tax schedules and uploading into OneSource Tax Software
  • Balance Sheet Recons preparation
  • Completion of the VAT201 Recon and SARS VAT Audit as required
  • Assisting the Financial Manager and Financial Accountant with ad-hoc duties
  • Assisting auditors with information for year-end audits
