Treasury Accountant

SUMMARY:
Qualified Treasury Accountant, preferably with B.Comm Degree and completed SAIPA Articles and minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, required to manage all aspects of foreign exchange transactions and import and export logistics, as well as cash flow management, controlling foreign/local creditors and preparing VAT returns including WTH Tax returns.

POSITION INFO:

Qualified Treasury Accountant, preferably with B.Comm Degree and completed SAIPA Articles and minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, required to manage all aspects of foreign exchange transactions and import and export logistics, as well as cash flow management to meet operational requirements, controlling foreign and local creditors as well as preparing VAT returns including turnover and balance recons, WTH Tax returns and other tax and accounting responsibilities.

Minimum requirements:

• B.Comm Degree required
• Completed SAIPA Articles preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting and treasury experience essential
• Experience in a supervisory role required

Responsibilities:

• Accounts – manage foreign and local accounts and bank accounts, cashflow and monitor all incoming and outgoing funds
• Import and export logistics
• Control foreign and local assigned creditors
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, including WTH tax returns
• Approve all payment
• Manage monthly reconciliations
• Balance GL and Bank Statements
• Book forex transactions
• Foreign loans
• Shipping administration – Imports & Exports
• Cash flow management and reporting
• Reporting month-end on bank recons  revaluations (foreign exchange contracts etc)
• Report on overseas creditors revaluations
• Accounting, Auditing & Tax
• Insurance – declarations on all imports and ensure payments are done
• People Management
