POSITION INFO:

PURPOSE:

Gijima have a vacancy for an accredited travel agent to assist with all internal travel arrangements, base on a hybrid model in their Midrand office.

The travel agent will provide assistance to individuals or groups who want to plan and book travel arrangements.

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Relevant tertiary qualification
Travel and tourism diploma

EXPERIENCE:

At least 1-2 years specific travel industry experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
3-5 years corporate industry experience

TECHNICAL / LEGAL CERTIFICATION

Computer literacy
Amedeus
Protas

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Advising clients on travel destinations, transportation options, and accommodations based on their preferences, budget, and needs.
Booking flights, hotels, rental cars, and other travel-related services on behalf of clients.
Providing travel insurance options and advising clients on travel safety and health precautions.
Handling travel-related documents such as passports, visas, and other necessary paperwork.
Creating travel itineraries and providing travel guides and maps to clients.
Resolving any travel-related issues or emergencies that may arise during the trip.

Communicating with clients to determine their travel preferences and needs, and making recommendations based on those preferences.
Handling administrative tasks, such as processing payments, issuing tickets, and preparing travel documents.
Maintaining client files and keeping track of their travel arrangements.
Responding to client inquiries and resolving any issues that arise during the booking process or during travel.
Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, travel products, and services.
