Our client has an opportunity for a Transportation Logistics Manager  

Responsibilities

• ·      5 years of minimum experience.
• ·      Relevant tertiary
• ·      Good communication skills
• ·      Hard working

• Planning and supervising drivers from production to the end-user

• Scheduling daily and weekly routes

• Tracking vehicles using functional systems

• Handling breakdowns

• Vehicles to be checked once a week

• Monitor fuel spenditures

  To succeed in this role, you should have thorough knowledge of Logistics management and an understanding of procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders and tracking transportation vehicles. You should also be familiar with safety processes and legal regulations.Ultimately, you will ensure that all vehicles are handled quickly, safely and within budget.

  Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise the vehicles from production to the end-user

• Schedule daily and weekly routes

• Track orders using functional systems

• Ensure documents are properly filed

• Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment

• Ensure compliance with company policies and logistics legislation

• Stay up-to-date with safety regulations

  Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Transportation Manager

• Solid knowledge of logistics management

• Experience preparing and tracking orders

• Familiarity with logistics software

• Excellent organizational skills

• Ability to supervise and train staff
