SUMMARY:
A logistics company based in JHB has an opportunity open for Transport Controllers to ensure that all operations of the trucks and logistics are optimal at all times.

POSITION INFO:

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Matric
• Logistics qualifications
• Code 8 drivers’ licence (compulsory)
• Must be computer literate
• Fleet controlling experience in a transport company is essential
• Must be able to conduct day to day business in English and other South African languages
• Must be willing to do shift work

 Job description

• Will be responsible for optimized route planning 
• Will be responsible for diesel management and optimization
• Manage truck daily utilization and availability
• Ensure that safety standards are adhered to for drivers on the road as well as at customers sites.
• Responsible for the direct supervision of all drivers 
• Ensure that all leave related documents are completed and updated
• Ensure that all drives complete the timesheets
• Assess drivers and trucks performance daily
