SUMMARY:
Our client based in the Northern Suburbs is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced HR Training Coordinator to join the HR Team.

POSITION INFO:

Key areas of performance (not limited to):

Planning:

  • Identify training needs of all departments in the company and compile / update the Training Plan.
  • Identify and communicate renewal dates for training programmes (internal and external).
  • External training:
    • Schedule training interventions according to the identified training needs, inclusive of:
    • Preparation of applications for external training;
    • Make arrangements with colleges, external service providers regarding the registration of students;
    • Communicate training dates & venues with employees and their managers.
  • Internal training:
    • Schedule training interventions as per training plan.
    • Coordinate with department heads to obtain approvals for the dates on which training will happen
  • Compile a Test Roster Plan for the entire company employment (both theoretical & practical)
  • Compile a Competency Measurement Plan.

Integraton Alignment / execution

  • Conduct all induction requirements with new employees.
  • Conduct all induction requirements with transfers / promotions to other internal functions.
  • Conduct annual refreshers of all Company policies.
  • Conduct Internal standards training requests from Ja/Nee check results.
  • Conduct training requests from Company Department Heads
  • Conduct training requests from internal standards related to new SOP’s.
  • Write, conduct and mark internal tests.
  • Re-train relevant staff based on the outcome of competency-level measurement results.

Administration

  • Prepare data required to compile the workplace skills plan and annual training report and submit to the HR Business partner.
  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials.
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.
  • Prepare and record accurate registers of training attendance. Ensure that all training registers are fully completed and that relevant documentation is transferred to the employees’ staff files where applicable.
  • Prepare and issue relevant certificates (where due).
  • Ensure all training registers, certificates, etc are filed on staff file with a copy to the Internal Standard files.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Monitor the progress of employees on external training interventions and provide monthly feedback in the training report.
  • Compile reports on individual learners to illistrate success/failure of learner.
  • Monitor and control the progress of all training with all learners and introduce measures to provide exposure on activities where required.
  • Ensure that house-keeping rules are in place regarding all training facilities.
  • Ensure compliance by Training Service Providers of respective valid accreditation documents.
  • Internal work positions: Ensure compliance & competency validation by measuring it.
  • Report outcomes as per:
  • Training Plan
  • Test Plan
  • Competency Measurement

Requirements:

  • Grade 12/National Senior Certificate.
  • Applicable Tertiary Qualification in HR / Training related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in as a Skills development facilitator or HR Training officer
  • Exposure to SETA / SDA, ATR & WSP submissions.
  • Familiar with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
  • MS Proficient
  • Experience with e-learning platforms
