SUMMARY:

Our client in the Fresh Foods industry is seeking a Meat Trader to join their company in Pretoria, Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:

Position: Meat Trader

Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

Salary Range: R 700 000.00 – R 800 000.00 pa

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

Develop a fresh meat trading strategy and plan
Tracking and forecasting of pricing of various proteins, to assist the company to operate ahead of the curves and trends to maximise profit
Manage the balancing of fresh meat supply to service the requirements of manufacturing, processing and trading
Market and sell excess raw materials within price mandates and at required profit margins
Build and develop the procurement function of fresh meat bulk products to meet the needs of the manufacturing, processing, and trading functions
Develop and manage existing client base and fresh meat trading channels which may include wholesalers, traders, processors, butcheries, etc.
Develop and expand new client base and channels as required for any excess raw materials
Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry.
Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects and recommending solutions.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

BCom Economies & International Trade
Minimum 5 years’ experience in trading
Fresh meat trading experience
