Primary purpose of the job

Reporting to the Toolroom Team Leader, this position requires the services of an individual to manufacture, repair, maintain and modify tools, jigs and dies to ensure that customer and company quality standards are met.

Manufacture, repair, maintain and modify tool, jigs and dies to customer and company requirement.

Knowledge required

• Toolmaking Techniques
• Tool, Die and Jig repair and maintenance
• Manufacturing processes
• Basic understanding of quality systems
• Tic and Arc welding of tool steel and cast iron

Minimum Qualifications/Experience Required

• Grade 12 and NQF Level 5 qualification
• Qualified Tool and Jig maker
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as Toolmaker within an automotive environment
• Minimum 2 years Tool, Jig and Die repair experience
