Job Description:
- Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing solutions for production requirements
- Set up and operate milling machines to manufacture and modify tooling components
- Support toolroom activities including tool maintenance, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare and update technical and manufacturing drawings
- Assist with product development, reverse engineering, and prototype activities
- Liaise with production teams to ensure tooling performs efficiently and meets quality requirements
- Perform measurements and inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and adherence to tolerances
- Provide practical manufacturing input on tooling and machining processes
Skills & Experience:- Experience using precision measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, and height gauges
- Experience with manual machining equipment including milling machines and lathes
- Proven experience setting up and operating conventional milling machines
- Strong toolmaking experience is essential
- Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in a toolmaking, machining, or manufacturing environment
- Experience manufacturing, modifying, and repairing tooling and fixtures
- Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
- Exposure to CNC machining environments will be advantageous
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Qualification:- Toolmaker Trade Test preferred
- Mechanical Draughting Qualification, N4/N5/N6 Mechanical Qualification, or related technical qualification advantageous
