Our client in the far west rand is looking for a experienced toolmaker / tool jig and die maker with CNC exposure for a contract position

POSITION INFO:

Our client in the west rand is looking for a experienced toolmaker / tool jig and die maker for a contract position

Qualification skill and experience requirement

• Certification proving qualification as Tool Die and Jig maker with a minimum of 10 years’ experience
• Read technical drawings.
• Program CNC, milling, turning and wire cutting machines using Edge Cam
• Operate CNC, milling, turning and wire cutting machines
• Computer literate including use of SolidWorks
• Assist with the design of press and cast tooling.
• Do maintenance and repairs to single and progressive eccentric press tooling such that functionality and quality requirements are achieved
• Assist operators to setup and operate press tooling and press feeding systems
• Assist with the creation of preventive maintenance schedules. Execute and control maintenance on tooling, machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Record cost, material and time on tool projects and maintenance actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise
• Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning and sharpening
• First line maintenance to machines and tools within area of responsibility
• Participation on NPI & VAVE projects
• Commission dies and press tooling repaired or manufactured
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
• Must be capable of workings as part of a team, but also self-driven
