Tinter (Springfield KZN)
POSITION INFO:
We are currently looking for a well-experienced Tinter who is able to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment. The individual must be motivated with excellent written and oral communication skills. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Branch Manager. A good understanding of paint and paint related products in a retail environment shall serve as an advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities:
vPaint Tinting:
vNotify the manager of any faulty machinery.
vEnsure colourants canisters are filled as necessary.
vMinimise wastage of colourants by ensuring that containers of new colourants are completely emptied.
vNotify Branch manager of any mistints.
vStock all the mistints in a specified area.
vLabel all complete tints.
vComputer tinting machine carousels must be always clean.
vMinimise the wastage of colourants.
vMistints to be within agreed limits.
vEnsure that orders for match makers and expressions are accurately tinted in sequence, with cash calling customers, receiving priority.
vCustomer Service:
vProvide excellent customer service to all walk in and calling customers.
vEnsure that customer complaints are minimised.
vTint paint as per customer request and brush out cards.
vEnsure that all tinting orders are completed timeously.
vEnsure that there are no customer complaints due to product fault and over tinting.
vSpecial Mixes:
vTint special mixes accurately to colour standard within time limits.
vEnsure that where more than 1 container is tinted to a standard, the container is ‘Boxed” to ensure uniform colour in all containers. Etc.

Requirements:
vMatric Certificate.
v2-3 years paint tinting experience.
v3 years in paint Retail environment.
vColour matching abilities.
vProduct knowledge of different paint.
vOccupational Health and Safety knowledge.
