Thrust Plate Setter / Operator

SUMMARY:
Our Cape Town based client has been manufacturing and assembling SAE mounted cast iron pumps and associate components since 1985.

POSITION INFO:
Are you a Thrust Plate Setter / Operator with 3 – 5 years’ CNC milling setting and machining experience with a spotless attendance record?  Are you self-motivated and conscientious?

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:     PERMANENT
SECTOR                     :     MANUFACTURING
START DATE              :     IMMEDIATE / A.S.A.P

DUTIES:
Operate machines making adjustments to settings as required
Set machines for production within allocated times
 
REQUIREMENT:
Grade 12 with mathematics
3 – 5 years’ CNC milling setting and machining experience
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Able to work on a three shift rotational basis
Tertiary setter / programmer course - advantageous
Be certified by GPM for basic arithmetic, dexterity, measurement and eye test
