Senior Test Analyst/Test Lead required

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior Test Analyst/Test Leads required to manage the delivery of the work stream test activity per work package and be part of a new project - 12 month contract - Hybrid

You must not only be able to manage or lead but you will need to be a hands-on person and do the testing. All resources must be able to do test analyst as well as tester work.

Preference if you come from Banking, Insurance or Unit Trust environments

Start date: Mid November

South African Citizens only and preference if you are based in Cape Town as this is hybrid working environment.

Test management tool knowledge is essential as well as having a passion for testing

Core Functions:

Produce the Detailed Test Plan for the Work Package as well as sprints within work packages for acceptance testing.
Report on the performance of their work stream (including any test reports and metrics)
Produce Daily Test Summary Reports during test execution on behalf of test team
Chair entry and exit meeting for assigned test phases during acceptance testing
Requests deployments and refreshes of the database to the test environments that they are responsible for after consultation with the Test Lead as well as team members and other Test Team Leads.
Work with other Test Team leads to identify any issues with the test process.
Work with other Test Team leads to work out regression testing required.
Defect management and triage prioritisation where there are conflicts
Review test basis documents and develop test requirements, cases, scripts and data
Execute tests and documents results with evidence
Log defects and retest fixes

Responsibilities:

Identify and report issues and risks through to the Test Team Lead
Keep JIRA/X-Ray up to date to ensure that reporting is accurate.
Identify tests that can be automated in order to setup automated regression test packs
Input into the Detailed Test Plan
Atend daily stand-ups, demos. retrospectives
Responsible for quality and consistency within their functional or capability areas
Is responsible for trying to resolve issues and if necessary to report them upwards.
Able to work in different Test Methodologies (waterfall, agile, hybrid )

Testing all aspects of the product, associated business processes and integration points..
Work with development team to identify and capture test cases, ensure version management.
Developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases.
Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned people.
An understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the programme.
Good Analytical skills, Decision making ability and Attention to details.
Ability to work in a team as well as an individual.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
Timely Reports on the assigned work.
Active participations in all meetings/discussions.
Create reusable libraries for work package
Assistance in Test Planning for work packages.
Perform detailed analysis of requirements and identify gaps. Focus on RCA for defects and provide detailed analysis.
