Our client is a leading retail business with its head office based in Cape Town. They have an impressive growth and performance record achieved through a network of multiple stores and diverse service structures established throughout Southern Africa.

As an organisation they are constantly looking to improve the processes that serve their customers and the business. To this end the demand for the continuous sharpening of their IT systems design and development is ever present requiring the services of a highly skilled and competent Test Team led by a highly skilled and competent Test Team Lead.

Purpose of the Job

The Test Team Lead''s primary goal is to Build up and lead the Testing Team to the success of projects undertaken. The role involves quality & test advocacy, resource planning & management, and resolution of issues that impede the testing effort.

The Test Lead takes full responsibility for the project''s success including:

Ensuring pre-agreed test schedule with delivery managers are being met.
Applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the product and the Testing Team
Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery
Deploying and managing resources for testing
Planning, deploying and managing the testing effort for any given engagement.
Ensuring a suitable and stable test environment/lab.
Defining, measuring and managing each team member''s output aligned with the above.
