POSITION INFO:
Test Lead required for a rapidly growing company in Motherwell. This is an incredible time to join as the organisation has just landed a huge contract as they continue to tackle very relevant and current problems faced worldwide.
They are looking for a Test Lead who has a mixture of hands-on manual/automated testing experience to help champion an automated focused strategy as they continue to incorporate this into their testing function. As a company passionate about the professional development of their employees, you''ll also be an advocate for the more junior Test Engineers who you will be mentoring and coaching.
Day to day you will be a hands-on Test Lead who encourages and leads the team (which can be a mixture of Test and Dev); leads the testing design; identifies best approaches and analyses risks (important in the company''s regulated industry). You might be working on the same projects as the team you line manage (a team of about 4 -5), but you might also be working on other projects at the same time - so organisation skills are a must!
Personality-wise, you''ll be someone who really enjoys looking at problems, as well as being switched on and open to new ideas (as well as offering new ideas!).
You''ll have experience with most of the following:
** Automation testing (ideally with Python)
** Desktop and web-based applications testing
** Requirements analysis
** Experience in an environment that requires verification testing
** Planning testing across multiple sprints
** Mentoring other Testers
Bonus experience:
** Medical device experience
** An ability to understand embedded C
** Firmware/embedded software and hardware testing
Right now, they offer remote working, but due to the seniority of this role, they are keen to have someone in the office when we are eventually able to do so. They also have an office in Stirling with teams spread over both, so if you can drive to go between sites, that would be ideal!
The benefits package includes 32 days holiday (including 8 public holidays, but only 3 of which are fixed) and a 6% employer pension contribution. The salary on offer is up to £56,500.
