Test Engineer (Automation) (Cape Town)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

vMinimum of 2 years of experience in writing automated and manual test cases.

vExperience leading a QA team will be an advantage.

vISTQB/ISEB qualification will be an advantage.

vExperience with CI tools and executing automated tests.

vExperience working with mobile devices in an automation context.

vA bonus for us would be:

ØExperience using a test case management platform.

ØExperience using Selenium WebDriver with the Python programming language.

ØA tertiary qualification in Computer Science or an equivalent.

ØKnowledge of security standards, penetration and performance testing.

ØExperience with Katalon Studio or similar automation suites.

Key Performance Areas:

vTest cases and test suites:

ØResponsible for end-to-end user tests.

ØRegression tests.

ØReporting bugs to team members.

ØDevelop and maintain automation scripts.

ØImplementation of the automation framework.

ØExecute automated regression tests through a CI pipeline.

ØPenetration tests and security audits.

ØLoad testing of infrastructure.

vManaging Projects:

ØPlan and estimate project deliverables.

ØParticipation in sprint planning sessions and project retrospectives.

ØWork closely with product owners to ensure efficient delivery of automation tests.

ØUnderstand the front-end and back-end architecture

ØDevelop and maintain reports with test plan and test execution result and communicate these to technical team lead.

vMaintenance:

ØEffectively maintain and manage the test case and automation frameworks.

ØWork closely with the DevOps team to maintain automation pipelines.

ØInvestigate errors and raise necessary tickets with the relevant teams.
