Test Engineer with some automation, and the opportunity to develop more required for a company in the Glasgow area.
POSITION INFO:
A leading software company in East Kilbride, looking for a Test Engineer for the software testing team.
This is a great opportunity for you to be able to delve into all things automation testing! With an experienced Test Lead at the helm, you''ll be able to develop your skills in automation testing, and the company don''t mind what particular tools or technology you have used in the past.
The company also have some huge growth plans, which involve scaling up the testing function, so not only is upskilling actively encouraged, you''ll have to chance to move into a more senior role (if you are interested!). With the testing function only at the start of its journey, you''ll be able to influence and advocate for best practices and processes, as well as ways to continuously improve.
You''ll have some manual and automation testing experience within an Agile environment - perhaps with something like Selenium and Cucumber - and be keen to develop on this. Personality-wise, you''ll need to be someone who is enthusiastic and up for a challenge. Collaboration is a huge priority and way of working for this team so you absolutely need to be a strong team-player with the communication skills to back it up.
You''ll have most of the following skills/experience:
**Manual testing
**Automation testing, creating the automation test scripts from scratch
**JavaScript for automation testing would be a bonus
**Experience with Sahi would be a bonus
**Agile environment
**Functional and performance testing
**SQL

Based in East Kilbride, they have free onsite parking. They can offer a salary of up to £35,000, as well as a discretionary bonus scheme too.
