SUMMARY:
Test Analyst with the opportunity to really grow and develop a testing function. Edinburgh based (but fully remote in Scotland).
POSITION INFO:
A software company in Edinburgh (offering fully remote working) is looking to hire a Test Analyst into their testing team.
Currently a one-strong team at the moment, the team are looking for a second Test Analyst to help really develop the existing testing function. You''ll have the chance to influence the testing and the company by creating a strong (and scalable!) testing strategy and improving software testing processes, together with the existing Test Analyst.
The software testing in place is fully manual, but long-term plan is to implement automation testing (potentially Cypress), so if you''ve always been keen to break into automation testing but never been able to, this is your chance!
They are a quickly-growing software company with a range of mobile and web-based applications (including chat bots). They''re looking to break into the US market and there is a huge need for their product offering, which just means continued growth for the company (and for you!).
With a stable core product, the company have plans to add various features, make sure their products integrate better with others, help universities (their clientele) become more tech savvy and ensure data is securely and easily accessible.
You''ll have most of the following skills/experience:
**Working in an Agile environment
**Develop testing process
**Manage testing
**Functional testing, happy path testing, exploratory testing
**BDD approach would be useful
**Risk-based approach
**Help develop documentation, TestRail
**Mobile and web applications
Culture-wise they offer a relaxed working environment, with the ability to move and improve fast (no scores of red tape to get through) and care far more about the mindset that someone brings to this role than a specific skillset - you''ll be someone who really digs into a product and its issues and has an ability to really think like the product user when needed!
They can offer a salary from £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience and their benefits package includes 32 days holiday (4 at Christmas and New Year), your birthday off, headphones, remote working (but you can be in the office if you want), shares, and an Employee Assistance Programme.
