SUMMARY:
Test Analyst (ideally with some automation) required for a company in East Kilbride.
POSITION INFO:
A software company in East Kilbride is looking to add to their team of Testers.
The current technical team are pretty Developer heavy, so the company are keen to bring on board another Test Analyst. They are looking for someone experienced with some automated testing experience who is keen to learn.
Day-to-day you will be carrying out both manual and automated testing within an Agile environment, with automation testing being the key focus long-term. The team use JavaScript for automated testing, so that would be ideal, but if you are happy to develop your JavaScript skills, that''s fine too!
The testing function is fairly new to the company, so it''s a great opportunity to get involved in developing the testing processes and practices and have real influence over the long-term testing strategy.
You''ll ideally have most of the following skills/experience:
**Agile working practices
**Automation testing, ideally with tools and technology like JavaScript, Selenium, Cucumber, TestProject (but any automation experience would be considered)
**Creating automation test scripts from scratch
**Knowledge of SQL
**Experience with a cloud-based product would be a bonus!
**Keen to learn new things
Personality-wise, you''ll need to be someone who is enthusiastic and up for a challenge. Collaboration is a huge priority and way of working for this team so you absolutely need to be a strong team-player with the communication skills to back it up.
The company have a very low turnover, and have created an ethos that makes it a genuinely great place to work. They''ve got people of every level, from technical people who have been there for 15+ years to more junior employees who are pretty new in the door. Part of the way they have managed to create such a good environment is due to the ongoing training and development that is on offer - so ff you really think learning something will help you, you can pitch for it.
Based in East Kilbride, they have free onsite parking. They can offer a salary of up to around £35,000, as well as a discretionary bonus scheme too. Additional benefits include private healthcare, company days out, flexible working and some opportunity to travel.
Right now, they are working remotely, and happy to offer some level of home working post COVID, but would also be keen for someone to be in the office at least a few days a week long-term.
