The Role: Territory Manager
This role leads all operations in Tanzania, ensuring safe, high-quality, and profitable service delivery. You''ll manage field engineering and support operations across diverse industriesmining, waste, forestry, and morewhile driving regional revenue, building customer relationships, and fostering a safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations across Tanzania, ensuring delivery excellence and profitability
- Lead and coach field staff, overseeing performance, training, and development
- Plan and coordinate field installations, servicing, and emergency fire system responses
- Ensure all jobs meet compliance and reporting standards, including post-fire reports
- Oversee local materials and stock management, including depot and vehicle inventories
- Enforce safety policies and compliance with OSHA and local regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and maintain fleet and PPE standards
- Support customer inquiries with technical advice and on-site surveys
- Maintain accurate administrative and asset records
- Develop and execute a local sales strategy, meeting clients and growing revenue
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities
About You
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar operations, field, or technical management role
- Bachelor''s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Proven experience in fire protection systems or safety equipment (advantageous)
- Experience in African markets, especially in mining, quarrying, or industrial sectors
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- Technically adept with solid analytical and problem-solving ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Self-driven, sales-oriented, and capable of operating independently
