Tender Coordinator

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Cape Town is currently in the process of recruiting for a Tender Coordinator to take responsibility for the planning, directing and coordination of tender projects in the group

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: 

• Ensure successful and high-quality tender submissions locally and internationally (mainly Africa) by sourcing and compiling required documents, obtaining the necessary approvals, and keeping to deadlines
• Responsible for the pre-tender process and the evaluation of tenders
• Ensuring all logistics and supply chain components are identified and accurately priced on time
• Assessing commercial and operational risk factors and policy requirements
• Enquires consults, and coordinates with clients and consultant representatives for specification clarity
• Attend tender briefings and report on it
• Liaise with project managers for the on-site execution of tenders, up until final payment received
• Develop and maintain tender and contact databases
• Continuously review and refine tender management process in conjunction with the Manager
• Ensure overall compliance to Group tender policies, ethical standards, and corporate protocols
• Build strong customer relationships with local, national, and international partners
• Ensure issues and concerns during the printing of tenders are raised immediately with the relevant stakeholders
• Generate weekly and monthly tender status and progress reports

• Matric - Grade 12
• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification
• 3-5 years experience in the broader tender management and administration landscape
• Extensive knowledge of legislative requirements related to the tender process
• Supply chain knowledge
• Business acumen with sound networking experience
