Temporary Professional Nurse

SUMMARY:
A temporary opportunity has arisen for a Professional Nurse with our client in Uitenhage - Primary Health Care (PHC), Emergency Care and Covid-19 Vaccination.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

- PHC clinics, management of minor ailments and injuries
- Health screenings, Health Campaigns and Health education in general which includes TB, HIV/AIDS, Covid - 19, Other Chronic Diseases, EAP education
- Chronic disease management
- Covid - 19 Case Management
- Covid - 19 Vaccination
- Call outs for emergencies, managing and referral of emergencies

Administration includes:

o Record keeping and electronic health records
o Statistics
o Registration of clients in the EVDS system
o Procession data for Covid-19 Vaccination
o Medicine Control and Use of SVS (system)
o Inventory & Stock control

Requirements:

- National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Science
- Minimum of 3 years relevant nursing experience
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council
- Training in Covid -19 Vaccination (certified as a Covid-19 Vaccinator)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Training
- Dispensing License (advantageous)
- Ability to take responsibility and accountability
- Good analytical skills
- High capability to act in emergency situations
- Knowledge of nursing process i.e. Observation. Planning, Action, Evaluation
- Assertiveness
- Good decision making skills
- Self-motivation
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook
