SUMMARY:
What youâll be doing if you get the job:
To execute instructions received via processes within the framework of the Finance Process Areas.
Your role may change over time, depending on your performance, your needs and the businessâs needs.
Youâll work closely with our other business processing teams including corporate business services, payroll etc.

Whoâll you report to:
Youâll be based within our Enterprise, Risk and innovation division in the Port Elizabeth office and youâll report to the Team leader: Finance, who is accountable for our finance functions

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Your duties will include: -

Cash and Cash flow management
Month end requirements but not limited to o Accrual/Provision Journals
Cash Book Recons
Balancing debtor control accounts and age analysis
Balancing commission control
Payroll journals
Half Cost Invoicing
Claim Recovery Invoicing
Investment journals
Loading payments, claims and comm on online banking
AP Payments
Balance sheet recons
Assisting with internal and external audit requirements
Assisting with general accounting and reconciliations
Banking Admin
Get involved in add-hoc projects

Skills

Strong understanding of accounting
Self-motivated and proactive
Good attention to detail
Enjoys problem solving and finding better ways to do thingsâª Team Player but able to work independently
Good time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
Self-driven with a âMake it happenâ attitude
Excellent standard of output
Able to work well under pressure
Friendly and professional manner

Qualifications and experience

Minimum 3 yearsâ experience in finance
Knowledge of insurance industry advantageous but not essential
Pastel experience preferable
