SUMMARY:
A Sourcing Specialist with public sector experience

POSITION INFO:

Our client is a state-owned entity with operations in Durban, and they seek the services of a Sourcing Specialist on a temporary basis.

This is an agency appointment.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiates s sourcing agreements and any changes in vendor contracts in line with company regulations as well as the PFMA and Treasury Regulations.
• Negotiates with vendors/contractors
• Manage recurring purchases and the related agreements
• Evaluate proposed contract changes and modifications to see whether they are reasonable and in the best interest of the company 
• Resolve vendor disputes
• Prepare RFI, RFQ, RFP and Pre-qualification in accordance with commodity team objectives. Ensure stakeholder requirement are included through facilitation of internal squad check meetings
• Develops and compose bid specifications
• Set up and prepare tender evaluation criteria, and gate keepers as well as costing structures to facilitate detailed commodity cost breakdowns and application of TCO through detailed cost comparisons
• Analyze bid responses to determine the most responsive and responsible bidder
• Compile tender reports and submit to appropriate procurement tender committees to obtain the required mandates

Requirements:

• A b-degree in SCM, Procurement, or Logistics
• 4 years’ experience in the public sector.

Salary:

R28 000 per month.
