Temp Senior Buyer, R17 000 p/m, Durban, 6 months contract

SUMMARY:
Senior buyer with public sector experience

POSITION INFO:

Our client is a state-owned entity with operations in Durban, and they seek the services of a Senior Buyer on a temporary basis.

This is an agency appointment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise subordinates
• Review and clear outstanding requisitions
• Approve order requisitions, ensuring the completeness of the purchasing the transactions, fairness, and reasonable prices
  Responsible for Pre-Contracts planning, tender process and management of contracts
• Managing day-to-day purchases and ensuring that repetitive purchases are placed onto contracts
• Enforcing compliance with the procurement procedures
• Provide support & guidance to project managers

 

Job Requirements:

• A National Diploma in SCM, Procurement or Logistics
• 2 years’ experience in the public sector

 

Salary:

R17 000 per month
