SUMMARY:
A large company specialising in Administration Services is looking for a Technology and Infrastructure Programmer.

POSITION INFO:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Matric (Grade 12)
Minimum 1 year COBOL or Natural Programming experience
Completion of a recognised COBOL or Natural programming course or qualification.
Technical knowledge of Fund Administration computer systems and operating standards. (Systems specific to the company).

Must be fully computer literate: MS Word, Advanced Excel, Access and Project

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Must have good IT and programming skills
Mathematical aptitude and good analytical / problem solving skills
Planning and organizational skills
An ability to interpret instructions and develop programmes according to specifications.
An ability to create Job Control language
Accurate with attention to detail.
Must be able to work in a team, under pressure and to stringent deadlines
Unquestionable integrity, trustworthy and honest.
Enthusiastic approach

CONDENSED LIST OF DUTIES:

Develop and maintain programmes according to System’s Analyst specifications and satisfaction.
Ensure that programmes are written and maintain according to set standards.
Ensure that all programmes are tested accurately
Produce test results that are to the System’s Analyst and User’s satisfaction.
Create test data where applicable.
Ensure documentation is updated and / or created for all new programmes or enhancements to existing programmes.
Create Job Control language where applicable
Ensure Change Control procedures are adhered to.
