Technician

SUMMARY:
A Vacancy exists for a Technician in the Mining Division based in Harmony North - Kalgold
 
The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:   

POSITION INFO:

• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of electronic Security Equipment;
• Supply assistance for installations and service of technical equipment to the technical department;
• Assist Technician with day-to-day duties;
• Installation and fault finding of new alarms, electric fences and CC TV;
• Repairing of cables, focusing, cleaning and re - adjusting of cameras;
• Attending meetings when required to;
• Regular communications and development of a good relationship with client;
• Attention to detail on all aspects of relevant responsibilities;
• Adhering to the Agreement between the client and the company;
• Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations;
• Management and Control of Documentation, Including Registers, Overtime and Route Sheets;
• Submission of fault reports on the system;
• Available to be on standby if and when required and to work long hours if required;
• Ensure adherence to Company policy & procedures;

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
• Driver’s license Code 8 advantageous
• Relevant experience in similar position and technical background advantageous;
• Bilingual (English and any other South African language);
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Must reside in Randfontein or surrounding area;
• Own transport;
• No criminal record;
• Willing to work long hours / overtime and willing to travel extensively;
