SUMMARY:

Our client, one of the largest international oil and gas organisations, is seeking a Technical Writer to join the Capital Program and Budgets Division of Facilities Planning Department.

POSITION INFO:
Primary role is involved in reviewing, editing, and quality assurance of related documentation to support the presentation of the Capital Program, Annual Capital Budget and Expenditure Requests to Corporate Management, President & CEO and Board of Directors.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature, Liberal Arts, Journalism, or equivalent from a recognized and approved program.
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in procedural writing.
Strong command of English, both verbal and written.
Experience in critiquing technical procedures and guidelines in addition to developing new desktop standards and instructions as necessary.
Demonstrate good working knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications.
Knowledge of SAP is preferred but is not essential. Ability to write in shorthand is a plus.
Experience of working to firm deadlines and turnaround schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain and update all manuals pertaining to the Capital Program. Implement and develop new procedures for Capital Projects reporting techniques, responsibilities and distribution, in addition to content and format.
Develop and review documents relating to the Capital Program, including Capital Project reports for the Board of Directors and minutes of meeting as requested by management.
Develop other extraneous presentations and reports as requested by management.
Calculate and report on department KPIs and maintain a master sheet of scores.
Bring a structured and systematic approach to document revision management.
Draft weekly highlights and participate in reviews during major Expenditure Request and Capital Program planning cycles.
Bring best practice and application of latest industry publishing tools to the technical writing role.
Ensure the timely production and dissemination of minutes of meeting.
