Technical Support Agent

SUMMARY:
Specific duties will vary by industry, work in some type of administrative capacity to support other professionals in their field. Additionally, manage data, develop correspondence or spreadsheets, prepare reports, and file paperwork.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description

• Ensure a clean work environment within the designated work areas.
• Ensure that tools and vehicle are clean and in good working order
• Ensure cables are managed on slack bracket Measurables Clean work environment: Manhole and surrounding area
• Assist the Splicer with network maintenance – availability and MTTR and in building new Links Measurables Assist with proactive and reactive maintenance on the network.
• Assist in completing documentation and labelling
• OTDR monitoring
• Relay OTDR findings and save traces
• Comply with all SHEQ policies and procedures
• Vehicle file kept up to date
• Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time-to-time by management

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Knowledge with the Fibre Optic Field advantageous
• Driver’s license is advantageous
• Technical Background within the Telecommunications trade or similar
• CFOT Certification is advantageous
