POSITION INFO:

echnical Sales Representative Valves

East Rand – R35 000 – 55 000CTC

Purpose:

Developing the strategy and achieving valves sales growth targets through market research and developing and growing a client base in different industries like pumps, co -ops, builders etc. Advising and recommending products and / or spares, following up on leads, quotes, orders

Main duties:

Developing a sales and market penetration strategy for the valves

Executing the strategy

Planning and scheduling appointments with existing and potential clients – especially engineering consultants;

Ensuring preparation for appointments by compiling relevant information including brochures, pump information and / or pricing;

Conducting appointments including site inspection where relevant;

Building client relationships and improving the company’s reputation by meeting commitments, keeping promises and ensuring client satisfaction;

Recommending product solutions and obtaining pricing from internal sales team;

Liaising with external suppliers for relevant pricing where required;

Researching current projects and identifying potential clients to generate sales leads;

Liaising with internal sales team for pricing and delivery information;

Monitoring sales to ensure targets are met;

Following up on relevant quotes on a weekly basis;

Following up on all orders on a weekly basis;

Ensuring all sales information is captured on the CRM;

Following up on outstanding payments with clients;

Minimum requirements:

Engineering qualification with technical sales experience

4 years or more experience in valves business development experience

Excellent communication skills
