Technical Sales / Technician (HEC2115)

Salary: R 15 000 to R 20 000 per month

Synopsis:

This position will primarily be responsible to support the Counter and Key-Accounts Sales Staff and their clients (installers and integrators) to successfully sell equipment and solutions to the end-users. The position will also do counter sales. Low level repairs and Go/No-Go testing on equipment will be done. Intensive repairs will be sent to Head Office repair shop.

The application of the equipment and solutions are in the Electronic Security Industry and consists of complete solution implementation on end-user sites for CCTV, Access Control, Alarms and Perimeter protection and detection (including Electric Fences, Gate Motors and Intercoms).

Requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Preference will be given to candidates with previous electronic security experience.
• Must have sales experience
• Valid Driver’s license

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Technical Repairs (limited – basically go/no go testing, replacement of fuses and basic repairs etc. Larger repairs to be send to HQ repair shop or suppliers)
• Technical Counter Support
• Technical Telephonic Support
• Technical Site Support
• Counter Sales backing up Sales Staff when required
• Telephonic Sales backing up Sales Staff when required (clients phone in and need quote etc)
• Basic quotes on Pastel, know the pricelists and all matrix templates.
• Profiling data base form DMS list.
• Training Branch Staff (products and solutions)
• Training our branch installers on our products and solutions as required
• Preparing and maintaining our Tech support area at the branch
• Supporting internal systems on a 1st Line bases (PC’s/printers and internal network, alarm and demo boards/equipment etc)
• Submit weekly status report on internal systems.
• Submit monthly status report on repairs and site visits.
• Stocktaking
• Stock picking
• Book stock in/out.
• Send, receive, collect and deliver stock.
