Technical Sales Representative

POSITION INFO:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading national trailer and truck body manufacturer.

Main Job objectives:
To grow and maintain the customer base to achieve targets set and provide great service to our customers based on technical competence and a passion for excellence.

• Proven ability at building strong relationships and add value to customers
• Confidence to take initiative
• 3 to 5 years direct sales experience preferably in the road transport industry or with high value capital assets

The key responsibilities include:

• Selling of truck bodies; trailers and repairs services

• Service existing customers and grow existing customer base (large fleet owners; retailers; truck dealers)

• Preparation of quotations and costings
• Preparation of weight distributions using Transolve software
• Preparation of Job sheets & specification sheets for new orders
• Handling of communication & progress reports for new orders
• Professional handover of new vehicles
• Provide solutions & technical support to customers
• Handling & resolving of customer complaints
• Plan and conduct visits to outlying areas from time to time
• Prepare a weekly call plan of activities planned to maximize sales effectiveness
• Prepare status reports including sales calls & progress reports on activities

A market related package including:

• Basic 15000 to R20000 (negotiable based on experience)
