Technical Sales Representative – R25k/month + perks – Johannesburg – Perm – Open to all – Start asap

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic technical sales representative to join their team servicing an essential, fast paced FMCG industry. Are you able to travel extensively around South Africa visiting customers in multiple cities?  Do you have a strong technical background?

 

The role requires a dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic person with excellent industry experience both at a “hands on” technical or engineering level and also with excellent organizational, supervisory and communication skills.  Reporting to the Sales Manager

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the development of new business opportunities with existing and new customers
  • Travel extensively to visit clients around South Africa.
  • Educating clients to understand the features and benefits of our products.
  • Gaining insight about customer requirements, competitors and/or market trends and developments.
  • Arrange technical, marketing, administrative and sales support.
  • Contributing effective technical support to customers.
  • Resolving customer queries or complaints.
  • Managing product trials as required by customers.
  • Build a strong, in-depth product knowledge of our products.
  • Develop sales to customers and territory assigned: Call on customers, analyze their needs, generate and provide quotations, training and advice on our products.
  • Calling on new clients to build relationships and increase turnover.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty in respect of new and existing accounts.
  • Conducting market research and finding new customers to target.
  • Monitor and report on customers and market purchasing trends, the market position of competing products and other relevant factors that affect the sale of group products.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet trends and competitor’s challenges.
  • Consistently achieving monthly sales and service goals.
  • Willing to push yourself to succeed and be self-motivated.
  • Be a confident leader in our team
  • Timely diary and weekly reporting.
  • Achieving fiscal targets.
  • Making your own appointments.
  • Generating new customers within the target industry.

 

Minimum requirements:

 

  • Bachelor''s degree.
  • Previous sales experience in FMCG, industrial, mechanical or coating industries
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills with clients at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and to meet deadlines.
  • Passion for selling and motivated by achieving results.
  • Confident and professional manner.
  • Excellent communication skills (bi-lingual in English and Afrikaans both written and verbal).
  • Must be a positive and driven individual, with the tenacity and goal-driven attitude
  • Leadership/managerial qualities
  • Successful candidates should ideally be based in Johannesburg.
  • Frequent travel around South Africa
  • Valid drivers’ license
