Technical Sales Rep, Mechanical equipment/replacement parts

SUMMARY:
A well-established manufacturer of specialised Mechanical equipment and replacement parts for the Mining, Automotive, Construction and related industries is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Representative with relevant Technical & Sales experience.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities

• Responsible for achieving sales, revenues and profitability targets 
• Responsible for identifying and developing new clients deemed as

suitable for the company

• Provide regular feedback and reports as required
• Presentation of potential solutions to clients and negotiate Service Level Agreements

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans in the allocated client base area
• Maintain relationships with existing clients, while also seeking to expand and include new possible clients
• Forecasting of current and future potential business within the client base
• Schedule client visits in line with the companies and client requirements to ensure consistent contact and knowledge transfer through to closure of the sale

• Regularly travel and meet with clients, assisting them with sales quotes, literature, technical support and marketing material

• Travel throughout the assigned area to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders
• Preparation of client quotations in line with company procedures and relative Service Level Agreements   
• Monitor debtors together with the finance department to ensure timely collection of outstanding monies where relevant          
• Work with all company personnel responsible for the on-going quality of service as required by the client and Management team
• Solve technical queries on products, by providing either telephonic support or on-site support
• Give after hours support to clients, where necessary

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Own reliable vehicle and comprehensively insured is Non-negotiable
• Current and valid driver’s license
• MUST HAVE +5 years Technical Sales experience with mechanical type equipment – This is NON-NEGOTIABLE

• Must be computer literate – MS Office
• Sales related qualification and/or training would be an advantage
• Must be able to travel extensively
• Good mathematical skills and basic reasoning ability
• Salary is dependent on technical expertise and relevant experience
• South African citizens only

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven sales track record
