POSITION INFO:
Our client is looking for a dynamic Technical Valve Sales Specialist to strengthen their national sales team, reporting to the Durban branch. The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in mechanical or instrumentation fields, backed by either a recognized apprenticeship or significant experience in flow-related equipment and instrumentation. A technical qualification (N6 or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering) is advantageous, along with a minimum of five years’ hands-on experience with manual and control valves or similar systems.
The role requires strong skills in evaluating client needs, delivering TCO solutions, and managing technical sales processes. Proficiency in MS Office, excellent communication abilities, and familiarity with top-tier equipment like Actreg, Arca, and JC Valves are key to success. Residing in the Durban area is essential for this opportunity to drive impactful sales and client satisfaction.

Education:

Technical qualification (N6 or N Diploma - Mechanical Engineering Technician will be advantageous)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum of five years’ proven expertise in working with manual and control valves or similar flow-related systems and instrumentation.
Skilled in assessing client applications or challenges and delivering tailored, long-term Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) solutions.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a strong command of computer-based tasks.
Demonstrated success in managing sales calls, providing technical support, conducting product demonstrations, and delivering impactful client presentations.
Established track record in technical sales with a comprehensive understanding of the sales process and cycle.
Committed to adhering to high work standards and delivering excellence consistently.
Exceptional communication abilities, capable of engaging effectively across all organizational levels.
Driven to excel in a sales career and based in the Secunda area.
