SUMMARY:
A vacancy exists for a Senior Technical Operative at our clients premises in Jet park . The clients service Centre operates 24 hours Monday to Saturday, inclusive of public holidays. This production facility operates on a rotational shift basis.
POSITION INFO:
The responsibilities of the position is as follows but not limited to
To conduct the requested maintenance requirements to ensure a safe, cost efficient and effective operation of plant equipment.
To implement and maintain preventative maintenance program in respect of property and machinery.
Identifies potential maintenance problems and takes precautionary corrective action.
To ensure that all maintenance work complies with Legal and Company Safe Work, Rules, Procedures and Regulations.
Key Tasks:
- Safety; To be responsible for the Safety and Housekeeping in your area of work. Reports any unsafe equipment to your Safety Rep and to your Line manager. Ensures that all Safe Work Procedures are adhered to.
- Ensures that efficient levels of productivity and quality are attained according to required standards at all times by correct manning and material / tools availability. Efficient upkeep and effective repairs of all the plant and equipment. Ensures that all tools and equipment are kept in a good and safe working condition as per the Company standards set.
- Conduct all Hot work as required in your daily tasks.
- Ensures that minimum stock levels of maintenanceconsumables are maintained.
- Ensure all tasks are in adherence to the Company Zero Harm and Health and Safety standards
- Is responsible for maintaining all plant equipment and property.
- Carries out all other allocated duties as directed by your line manager.
Min. Qualifications: Grade 12
Recommended Qualification:
CompetencyCertification in: Hot Work / Electrical / Mechanical / PLC fault finding.
Min Experience: 3 years supervisory experience in a Technical environment Minimum 2-3 years electrical, mechanical and maintenance.
Special Requirements: Computer literate –Hands on - Good Communication Skills – Ability to operate under pressure – Action orientated – Good decision quality – Problem solving ability. Knowledge of the Operational Health and Safety Act.
