Technical Operative

SUMMARY:
Our client a leader in the pallet and container pooling requires the services of a Technical Operative in their manufacturing plant in Alrode

POSITION INFO:

The candidate will be responsible for but not limited to

To conduct the requested maintenance requirements to ensure a safe, cost efficient and effective operation of Plant equipment.

To implement and maintain preventative maintenance program in respect of property and machinery. Identify potential maintenance problems and take precautionary corrective actions. To ensure that all maintenance work complies with Legal and Company safe work, rules, procedures, and regulations.   

Key Accountabilities:

People and Safety

• Promote and drive a culture of Zero Harm.
• Responsible for the overall housekeeping of the Plant under his control.
• Responsible to report to the supervisors any problems with the Plant and equipment under his/her control.
• Responsible for tools and equipment under his control.
• Report any unsafe tools, equipment, act or place to the SHE rep and supervisor.
• Complete and prepare any checklists or reports as required to facilitate day to day work.
• Ensure all tasks are in adherence to the company Zero Harm and health and safety standards.

Maintenance

• Achieve daily minimum quantities and tasks as agreed to by line manager.
• Ensure that efficient levels of productivity and quality are always attained according to required standards by correct manning and material/tools availability.
• Efficient upkeep and effective repairs of all the Plant and equipment.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are kept in good and safe working condition as per the company standards set.
• Conduct all Hot work as required in your daily tasks.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly checks on plant and equipment to identify and where possible rectify any faults.
• Assist in clearing line stoppages and blockages as and when required.
• Responsible for maintaining all plant equipment and property.
• Carries out all other allocated duties as directed by your line manager.

Minimum educational qualifications are

Technical Operative Certificate
