Technical Lead

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

• To lead the development team in terms of technical architecture, quality, testing, deployment and set the teams vision (about 50% of the role)
• • To manage the personal development of team members (e.g. Talent Reviews, training)
  • To lead and reinforce efficient and collaborative decision making though defined agile structures, processes, and ceremonies.
  • To ensure that team goals, budgets and KPIs are achieved
  • To ensure that proper updated documentation is maintained
  • To engage with IT to promote sound deployment and security
  • To manage and promote collaboration with external service providers
  • Manage the team’s budget
• To undertake development as required (about 20% of the role)
• To stay abreast of software development trends and architecture patterns and best practices and apply innovative recommendations (about 30% of the role)

Education level

• Tertiary Degree/Diploma in Technology or related field
• Modern, relevant technology certifications advantageous

Experience (guidelines)

• 10 years in JAVA development
• 5 years experience in technical solution architecture
• 5 years’ experience with microservices and cloud technologies (AWS preferable)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Team Lead
• Deep knowledge of agile and scrum teams and processes
